Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can I have and where will we be seated?
We tend to host larger groups in the Blue Room, our dedicated private event space.
Dining Groups
We seat most larger groups in the Blue Room: Best suited to groups of 8–24 guests.
We can accommodate up to 28 guests in the Blue Room, although you will be a bit squishy
We can also host dining groups of up to 10 guests in the Front Brick Room or Courtyard on request, although 8 guests is generally more comfortable. These are shared spaces.
Larger Groups (24+)
For groups larger than 24 guests, we can utilise both the Blue Room and Courtyard and include the brick room for full venue hire. This works best for drinks and snacks events or more casual cocktail-style gatherings with a mixture of seating and standing.
Will I have the Blue Room to myself?
Groups of 12 guests or fewer will share the space.
Groups of 12+ guests will have exclusive use of the Blue Room.
How long can my booking be?
This depends on the type and time of your booking.
As a general guide, we usually give dining groups of 12 or more exclusive use of the Blue Room from 7pm until close.
Food & Drink
What are the dining options for groups?
Groups Under 12 Guests

Current options include:
$65 set menu
$85 set menu

Sample menus can be viewed below.
We want food, but not a formal sit-down meal.
What are our options?
For larger groups, we can offer a more relaxed grazing-style experience, where dishes are placed on a shared table for guests to help themselves throughout the event.
We can work with you to determine a suitable per-person spend based on group size, budget and style of event.
We can also provide canapés, either on their own or alongside grazing plates.
Canapé Menu
All canapés are $8 each:
Gilda du jour
Mini venison tartare on potato crisp
Crudo tostada
Cheese with honeycomb or quince jelly on rye cracker
Sambal chicken bites with cucumber-dill dip
Cheese, pickle and ham bites
What are the drinks options and how does payment work?
For drinks-focused bookings, you have several options:
Bar Tab
You can place a tab behind the bar for any amount you choose.
Once the tab has been used, guests can:
Purchase drinks individually, or
Open their own personal tabs to settle at the end of the evening.
Individual Tabs
Guests can pay as they go or maintain their own tabs throughout the event.
Pre-Ordered Drinks
You're welcome to pre-order drinks for arrival, such as a welcome cocktail or glass of bubbles and bottle of wine for the table.
Talk to us about available options.
Snacks
We recommend pre-ordering snacks where possible, but guests are also welcome to order from the menu throughout the event.
What drinks do you offer?
You can view sample drinks menus here.
Our by-the-glass wine list changes weekly, but we always have one of every colour available by the glass (Sparkling, White, Orange, Rosé or chilled red or Red).
If you're looking for something specific, please let us know.
Custom cocktails are available, although minimum quantities may apply
Venue & Facilities
Is the courtyard undercover and heated?
Most of the courtyard is covered and remains dry in normal weather conditions.
There are four outdoor heaters, although their effectiveness can be reduced during strong winds.
Can I play my own music?
Generally no, as the same music is played throughout the entire venue.
However, if you have a playlist that's important to your event, you're welcome to send it through for approval.
After 10pm we're usually more flexible about letting you take over the playlist.
Do you have AV facilities?
We do not have a dedicated AV setup.
You're welcome to bring your own projector and use the wall as a screen.
How will the Blue Room be configured?
We have several layout options depending on guest numbers, event style and dining versus drinks-focused events.
You can view the available layout configurations here.
Styling & Decorations
How will the tables be set?
For dining events, tables are set with plates, quilted napkins, cutlery and water glasses.
Each table also includes one candle and one vase of flowers
You're welcome to bring your own flowers if you'd like to theme your event. We recommend lower arrangements so guests can comfortably converse across the table.
Custom printed menus are available for a flat fee of $100 per group.
Can I bring my own decorations?
Absolutely. Please let us know in advance what you'd like to bring.
A few guidelines:
Nothing may be attached to walls using Blu Tack, pins, tape, etc.
Additional decorations may be placed on shelves, provided venue items remain in place.
Items may be hung from chair hooks.
Helium balloons are welcome.
We generally discourage non-helium balloons as they tend to create hazards for guests and staff.
Can I bring a cake?
Yes.
Cutting Fees
Groups under 10 guests: $10 per person
Groups of 10+ guests: Flat fee of $100
We can also make cakes or tarts for your event.
If we provide the cake, no cutting fee applies.
For externally supplied cakes, please bring your own candles.
Minimum Spend Policy
We try to avoid minimum spends wherever possible and prefer to keep events casual and accessible.
Groups of 24 Guests or Fewer
No minimum spend applies, regardless of whether you're dining or joining us just for drinks and snacks.
Groups Over 24 Guests
A minimum spend may apply if:
Multiple spaces are required, or
Exclusive use of the venue is requested.
Minimum spends vary depending on:
Day of the week
Time of the event
Venue requirements
In most cases, pre-ordering food and placing a reasonable bar tab may remove the need for a minimum spend.
